November 29 & 30 – Busy Weekend Filled With Dance & Fun in London

Ill At Will stays busy this weekend all around the London community. Nothing new about that though! Cyphers and battles at Western’s Fall Cypher on Friday, Grand Opening of Family Centre and Movembreaks Live Jam Session at O.N.E. (click the links to find more information about each event).

On Saturday, November 30th, members of ill at will & O.N.E. team up with some of The Dynamic Dozen youth to provide a small hip-hop / breakdance workshop & performance at the Grand Opening of Family Centre in Carling-Thames arena. We are collaborating with a talented young girl named Adina who will be dropping some rhymes, with DJ Woody Brown (DTWB) on the 1’s and 2’s, and of course, some wicked dancing provided by members of O.N.E. Hip Hop Studio and London’s finest Ill At Will Breaking Crew.

Opening of the Carling-Thames Family Centre

More details on the event can be found here on (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=355698991232182&set=a.192282457573837.46505.185115038290579&type=1&theater). Here, we hope to connect with more community-minded people of London and inspire a lot of youth to stay positive and active. Come join us at this celebration. There will be music, dance, food, lights, cameras, and action!

Scotiabank StairClimb – 472 stairs? Under 4:10 minutes? Don’t think so? Think again!

Scotiabank StairClimb – 472 stairs? Under 4:10 minutes? Don’t think so? Think again!

On Thursday November 7, 2013, roughly 2000 climbers took on 472 stairs at One London Place to help the United Way change the story for families and individuals in our community.

Ill at Will and O.N.E. Dance Studio made sure they attended and we did, with style!

And there she is: "a ferocious 472 steps"

JFX, Nick, and Joseph Yao were the attending members that participated in this year’s stair climb. They arrived at the One London Place location to immediately start their warm up. After some intense “punch dancing” warm-up, which JFX hosted and secretly took over from the Scotiabank StairClimb volunteers, the crew went up for their first climb.

Yes, you read that correctly, IAW didn’t only climb the whole 472 steps once, we actually did it twice, just to prove a point – and we did it under 4 minutes and 10 seconds.

Now in its 18th year, the StairClimb has become the United Way’s largest special event fundraiser with last year’s event raising over $200,000! Once again the event was a fun one and they will see IAW and O.N.E. back for next year’s climb!

After two climbs, we still had enough energy for a quick picture & freeze!

Don’t just watch the regular music video format above; go to the full featured version at www.24hoursofhappy.com!

The website has the 4 minute song on loop as different people sing and dance their way through the street of LA. Sometimes it’s Pharrell, sometimes random people, and sometimes a celebrity. Some of the cameos found so far are listed below:
